Today (July 12), the People's Committee of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, announced that it has just issued a document requesting the city's departments to plan to invest in and repair the Cua Van Floating Cultural Center, the floating houses of Cua Van and Vung Vieng fishing villages to serve the development of tourism products on Ha Long Bay.
Many wooden houses in Cua Van fishing village are gradually sinking into the water.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ha Long City assigned the Finance - Planning Department to advise the People's Committee of Ha Long City to carry out procedures for establishing investment policies and repairing: Cua Van Floating Cultural Center, fishing rafts of Cua Van and Vung Vieng fishing villages to serve the development of tourism products on Ha Long Bay, the electrical system in Dau Go Cave, Dau Go Cave and Thien Cung Cave tourist attractions to ensure compliance with regulations.
The iron frames supporting the wooden houses have been corroded by seawater for a long time and are rusted and severely damaged.
The document stated that the People's Committee of Ha Long City assigned the Finance - Planning Department to advise on budget allocation for investment and repair using Ha Long Bay tour fees in 2023.
