A representative of Dong Chui Viet International Travel Company Limited (Le Thanh Nghi Ward, Hai Duong City) said that as of April 24, the number of customers registering for tours to Ho Chi Minh City of the company increased by 20% compared to the same period in 2024. Most of the group guests are families or individual guests.
According to a representative of Ngoc Anh Trading Service Joint Stock Company (Hai Tan Ward, Hai Duong City), customers who come to this company mainly book air tickets and hotel rooms in Ho Chi Minh City, not tours. On the occasion of April 30 this year, about 1,000 customers booked air tickets, more than 100 customers booked rooms, doubled compared to last year. Currently, airfares are fluctuating from 6 - 8 million VND/round-trip ticket (depending on the airline and time frame), 1.5 times higher than last year. In the next 1 - 2 days, airfares may continue to increase.
According to many travel agencies in the area, the reason for the increase in the number of visitors this year is that on April 30, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a national parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Many people book tickets and register for tours to Ho Chi Minh City to watch directly. According to some travel agencies, customers are currently unable to book rooms for April 29 due to overcrowding, room rates have also increased by 50% compared to normal days, while other food and beverage services remain the same.
