Building a scientific dossier on the intangible cultural heritage of Nham Duong Pagoda festival

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is building a dossier on the intangible cultural heritage of Nham Duong Pagoda festival to propose the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to include it in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.

The Department focuses on field surveys, collecting, translating documents, describing relics and festival performances, writing a history of the Nham Duong Pagoda festival heritage; taking documentary photos of the relics and festivals, selecting photos to include in the dossier; recording videos, making films; recording documents, interviewing the community about the heritage; building a heritage distribution map. The implementation period is from March to October, the scientific dossier will be completed and submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The inclusion of Nham Duong Pagoda Festival in Duy Tan Ward (Kinh Mon) in the list of national intangible cultural heritage aims to help the current generation continue to preserve and promote it long-term; attract local people to participate and create culture.

Nham Duong Pagoda relic is located in the special national relic complex of An Phu-Kinh Chu-Nham Duong, a place to worship Buddha according to the Cao Dong Zen sect and the First and Second Patriarchs of the Cao Dong Zen sect of Vietnam, historical figures of the post-Le period.
