Building Lai Cach and Gia Loc towns into satellite cities of Hai Duong city

On January 25, the Provincial People's Committee decided to approve the adjustment of the construction planning of Cam Giang and Gia Loc districts until 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Specifically, the construction planning of Cam Giang district still maintains the planning research scale on the entire natural area of 11,011.9 hectares. Maintain the nature, function and role: as an industrial and handicraft development area, focusing on key industrial sectors, a center for agricultural production and processing for export in the direction of building brands, improving the content of science and technology in products and product consumption. In addition, it is added as a tourism - cultural - spiritual area combined with traditional craft villages. Regarding orientation: build Lai Cach town to meet the criteria of a type IV urban area before 2025 and strive to build the entire Cam Giang district according to the criteria of a type IV urban area after 2030. Upgrade Lai Cach town to a type IV urban area before 2025 and orient to become a satellite city of Hai Duong city. In addition to Cam Giang town, it is expected to upgrade 7 communes to type V urban areas including: Tan Truong, Cam Phuc, Cam Dien, Luong Dien, Ngoc Lien, Cam Vu, Cam Dong. In the period 2031-2050, 3 more communes will be upgraded to type V urban areas including: Cao An, Cam Doai, Duc Chinh.

The Gia Loc district planning area is 9,971.1 ha, an increase of 0.47 ha compared to the previously approved district planning area. Regarding the orientation of Gia Loc, the planning maintains the development of key economic sectors: industry, trade services, agriculture, craft villages and supporting economic sectors (agricultural and food processing, tourism...). Supplementing the orientation of building the expanded Gia Loc town to meet the criteria of a type IV urban area before 2025 and striving to build the entire Gia Loc district according to the criteria of a type IV urban area after 2030. Upgrading the expanded Gia Loc town to a type IV urban area before 2025 and orienting to become a satellite city of Hai Duong city. It is expected to upgrade 4 communes to type V urban areas including: Hong Hung, Quang Minh, Gia Khanh, Gia Tan. Phase 2031-2050: continue to upgrade 5 more communes to type V urban areas including: Thong Nhat, Yet Kieu, Toan Thang, Doan Thuong, Hoang Dieu...
