On the morning of January 31, sharing with reporters, Director of the Department of Cinema Vi Kien Thanh said that he had received information that the VieOn application proactively removed the Chinese film 199 Love because of suspicions about the nine-dash line.

The Chinese movie 199 Love (Vietnamese title: Love 199 - Want to love forever) is adapted from the novel Who do you like at 17?.

The film tells the story of a group of childhood friends who have been friends since they were six years old and promised to go to university together, going to Beijing. Then they each went their separate ways until they were 30 years old, one of their friends got married, and old memories came flooding back. The film stars Yang Zi and Fan Cheng Cheng.

The film is expected to be 36 episodes long, and will be shown on the VieON app from January 20. However, after the first 8 episodes, the VieON app removed the film and announced: "Due to censorship reasons, the film has temporarily stopped broadcasting. We hope you understand that the film will return soon after completing content censorship."
