Illegal "Cow Tongue Line" image displayed in Snapchat application

On November 5, when accessing the "Map" section of the Snapchat application on their phones, Vietnamese users were very upset because the application displayed the illegal "Cow Tongue Line" occupying almost the entire East Sea of Vietnam.

The "cow tongue line" or "9-dash line" was created by China with the intention of monopolizing the East Sea.

Not only does it display the illegal "Cow's Tongue Line", the "Map" section of the Snapchat application also does not display Vietnam's Truong Sa and Hoang Sa Islands. Some users, upon discovering this abnormality, took screenshots and sent their comments to Snapchat, but there has been no response. As of the afternoon of November 5, the application still displays the aforementioned "Cow's Tongue Line".

Many users have taken screenshots to protest the display of the "Cow Tongue Line" in the Snapchat application.

Snapchat is a photo-sharing and chat application created by a group of American students more than 10 years ago.

The use of smartphone applications to insert false images about Vietnam's sovereignty over its sea and islands is very dangerous if users do not detect it or do not fight against it.
