In order to serve the increased demand of passengers on domestic flights during the 2024 Lunar New Year, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Vasco) announced an increase of more than 100,000 seats, equivalent to nearly 550 flights.

Thus, the National Airlines has increased the total number to 2.1 million seats with 10,700 flights for the peak Tet season from January 25 to February 24, 2024 (ie from December 15, Quy Mao year to January 15, Giap Thin year).

The increased flights focus on routes between Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi and Da Nang, Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Da Lat, Can Tho, Nha Trang, Phu Yen, Phu Quoc...

In particular, passengers tend to book flights with earlier departure dates than in previous years. Ticket prices for Tet this year are still flexible according to market conditions with a variety of prices and comply with domestic price ceiling regulations.

The airline also recommends that passengers proactively book Tet flight tickets early through the airline's official ticket sales channels to find tickets with suitable times and prices.

In addition to serving the needs of family reunions, Vietnam Airlines flights facilitate people's travel with convenient flight schedules and modern aircraft. Airlines have prepared pilots, flight attendants, aircraft as well as personnel and equipment very early to ensure the best quality of service for passengers during the peak Tet holiday.

The airline also encourages passengers to use check-in methods to limit queuing and save time, such as online check-in via the Vietnam Airlines website or mobile app, Kiosk check-in, Auto check-in, Telephone check-in, and mobile check-in (MPOS).

Passengers should check in at the airport 2 hours before departure for domestic flights; 3 hours before departure for international flights; pay attention to check checked baggage after landing.

In addition, passengers also need to fully prepare and carefully check their personal documents when planning to fly, to limit the situation of related documents expiring, being denied flights by authorities, and should use public transportation instead of using personal vehicles to reduce pressure on parking lots at terminals.
