Vietnam is ranked among the top five destinations for tourists across the Asia-Pacific region to relax during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.
Travelers from across Asia are flocking to Vietnam, drawn by its stunning landscapes, colorful culture and renowned cuisine, according to Agoda data released this week.
Agoda also shared some ideal destinations across the country that attract a large number of foreign tourists during the festival, including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang city center, Nha Trang, Hanoi and Phu Quoc island.
“When it comes to the number of visitors to Vietnam during the region’s biggest holiday, South Koreans took the lead, ahead of visitors from China, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), and Japan, all of which ensured a busy Tet season for Vietnam’s tourism industry,” Agoda said.
Meanwhile, according to the online travel agency, Vietnamese tourists are also packing their bags for their annual vacation, with Da Lat proving to be the top domestic destination this year.
The hilltop resort took the top spot, ahead of coastal locations Nha Trang, Da Nang and Phan Thiet. Ho Chi Minh City rounded out the list, coming in fourth in terms of bookings during the period.
