Railway transport "transforms" to meet peak tourist season

According to a representative of Vietnam Railways Corporation, these days, the railway industry is urgently implementing a plan to organize a Da Lat train to serve tourists to admire the city of thousands of flowers under the sparkling lights, especially the Da Lat - Trai Mat route passing through flower growing areas with lights as bright as shooting stars. Before officially running on April 14, 2024, the railway industry organized completely free runs on the previous 11, 12 and 13.

Specifically, train DL11 departs from Da Lat station at 6:15 p.m.; train DL12 departs from Trai Mat station at 7:15 p.m. On the train, passengers are served amenities such as artichoke tea and free wifi. Also on April 14, the railway plans to open a screening room for railway documentaries at Da Lat station, bringing new experiences to passengers.

Currently on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route, there are trains DL3/DL4 running daily, trains DL1/DL2, DL5/DL6, DL7/DL8 and DL9/DL10 running according to customer demand.

Previously, at the end of March, Vietnam Railways Corporation coordinated with the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province and the People's Committee of Da Nang city to launch a specialized train running from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa with the name "Connecting Central Heritage", in the form of transport business combined with tourism service exploitation.

A representative of Vietnam Railway Corporation assessed that, although newly deployed, the number of passengers choosing to travel between Hue - Da Nang on the "Central Heritage Connection" train is very large, both domestic and foreign passengers. This is a new product in the chain of transport business products combined with tourism services, also a unique and interesting segment of experience, tourism, history, culture, heritage that the Vietnam Railway industry is implementing.

According to Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railways Corporation Dang Sy Manh, the operation of the "Connecting Central Heritage" train is one of the efforts to connect the region and promote tourism in Thua Thien - Hue province and Da Nang city. With a travel time of about 3 hours on the train, visitors can admire the majestic and beautiful natural scenery, where the two regions of the South and the North intersect, with the Truong Son mountain range on one side and the immense ocean on the other. In particular, with 2 trains departing in the morning or afternoon from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa, visitors can welcome the sunrise and sunset on Lang Co Bay - one of the most beautiful bays, on the most beautiful journey in the world.

At the beginning of its operation, the "Connecting Central Heritage" train, consisting of 5 modern air-conditioned soft-seat carriages and a community activity carriage, promises to be an impressive mobile check-in point for visitors.

At Da Nang and Hue stations, the railway industry has arranged VIP waiting rooms to serve passengers, an automatic bicycle rental system using QR code scanning, and on the journey, visitors can also enjoy local cuisine... It is expected that in April 2024, the train will be equipped with wifi to serve passengers.

On the main route Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City, the railway industry also added a train operation plan; in which, the SE11/SE12 train is the second train model put into operation by the railway industry in the past week to anticipate the passenger transport market during the peak summer season of 2024.
