Having the honor of standing in the ranks of the Party while still in the army, young soldiers have more motivation to strive to study, practice, and excellently complete assigned tasks.

November 29 was an unforgettable event for Private Nguyen Van Lam (born in 1999) of the Information Platoon, General Staff Department, Hai Duong Provincial Military Command because he was admitted to the Party.
In a solemn atmosphere, under the Party flag, the national flag and the portrait of the great President Ho Chi Minh, Private Nguyen Van Lam emotionally read the oath of new Party members.

After graduating from the University of Culture, young man Nguyen Van Lam wrote an application to volunteer for military service. After 3 months of training at Regiment 582, Division 350 in Nho Quan district (Ninh Binh), soldier Nguyen Van Lam was assigned to work at the Military Command of Hai Duong province. Private Nguyen Van Lam always fulfilled his duty of maintaining direct communication for the Military Command of the province, was exemplary in both manners and compliance with military regulations, and was quick to perceive and well-trained, so he was assigned to accompany and help his teammates progress.
In addition to Private First Class Nguyen Van Lam, Private First Class Le Van Tien and Corporal Phan Thi Binh are three young soldiers of the Provincial Military Command with outstanding achievements who were honored to be admitted into the Party on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
The Hai Duong City Military Command is a bright spot of the provincial armed forces in developing the Party for young “square star” soldiers. From 2020 to now, the unit has admitted 13 Party members who are militia soldiers, double the set target.
“Square star” soldier Nguyen Van Tung (born in 2005) of the 37mm-1 Anti-Aircraft Artillery Company was also honored to join the Party ranks 4 months ago. According to Lieutenant Colonel Truong Minh Nam, Political Commissar of the Hai Duong City Military Command, the admission of young soldiers to the Party is carried out seriously in all stages, prioritizing quality, absolutely not chasing quantity. The unit sends cadres to the localities where the masses reside to learn, grasp the situation, verify their background, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and honesty. After being admitted to the Party, young Party members all uphold their sense of responsibility, taking the lead in performing their tasks, especially difficult, arduous, and unexpected tasks.
To create a competitive and training environment, many units in the provincial armed forces have launched and organized emulation movements to contribute to changing the awareness of self-cultivation, promptly discovering exemplary soldiers to introduce, consider, and foster Party admission.
In addition to doing a good job in selecting young people to perform military service, the work of creating sources and selecting young people before they leave for military service is always given attention by the Provincial Military Command.
The District Military Party Committee and the District Party Committee's Organizing Committee advise on the issuance of plans, assign specific targets to communes, and select sources for Party development training among young people joining the army.
According to the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command, districts, towns, and cities have organized Party training classes for 429 young people who will join the army in 2024. At the end of August, the Provincial Military Party Committee organized a Party awareness training class for 18 outstanding people from affiliated Party Committees and Party cells.
Training classes help young people to be oriented in their thinking to actively study, practice, complete their tasks well during their military service and strive to become party members.
“This is an important force in effectively implementing movements and tasks in many units. The “red seeds” in the new recruits will also be the core source of cadres for the militia and self-defense force, reserve mobilization and cadres for the locality after completing military service,” said Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command Ho Sy Quyen.
