Hai Duong youth plant tens of thousands of trees on "Green Sunday"

On March 17, Hai Duong youth simultaneously launched a campaign to respond to "Green Sunday" and "Peak day of volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas".

At the provincial-level launching program held in Hong Du commune (Ninh Giang), Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union presented a "Youth Tree Row" project and 10 waste sorting bins, supporting the construction of a model to prevent plastic waste at the grassroots level.

During the first "Green Sunday" in 2024, nearly 7,000 youth union members participated in cleaning 377 km of village roads, alleys, drainage canals, collecting 5.7 tons of waste, removing more than 2,700 illegally posted advertisements, planting about 38,750 trees, and cleaning up 20 temples, steles, and memorials to heroes and martyrs.

Provincial Youth Union chapters launched 10 models to prevent plastic waste, donated 25 trash bins, 200 biological products, installed and donated 2 "Lighting up the countryside roads" projects.

This is a practical activity, contributing to promoting the pioneering and voluntary role of Hai Duong youth in participating in environmental protection, climate change adaptation; participating in propaganda on building rural and urban aesthetics, and environmentally friendly living habits.
