Hai Duong University's enrollment doubled after merger

As of December 19, Hai Duong University recruited 1,800 students for college, university, and master's degrees, meeting the enrollment target set for 2023.

The pedagogical sector has 1,200 enrollment targets; the economic and technical sector has 450 enrollment targets, and the social sciences and humanities and master's program has 150 enrollment targets. The total enrollment of the school is about twice as high as the total enrollment of Hai Duong University and Hai Duong College before the merger. This is an initial positive result showing the effectiveness of merging Hai Duong College into Hai Duong University to form a larger Hai Duong University.

The above results come from the active participation of the school after the merger. The enrollment work has been implemented synchronously and urgently, implementing many solutions suitable to the reality and needs of society; strengthening communication work. The school has immediately opened 10 new university-level majors, including: literature pedagogy, mathematics pedagogy, English pedagogy, preschool education, primary education, physical education, history pedagogy, natural science pedagogy, marketing and electronic and telecommunications engineering technology. The pedagogical majors that attract the most students are preschool education, primary education, mathematics pedagogy... because in reality Hai Duong and the whole country are in great shortage of teachers, especially primary and preschool teachers.

Along with that, the school implements a variety of admission methods, including: direct admission; admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam, admission based on high school academic results, and combined admission.

The school conducts many admission rounds during the year to increase opportunities for learners. At the same time, it organizes a variety of training types: full-time; work-study; training cooperation with other universities; training cooperation with dozens of businesses...

Since the merger, the school has recruited more than 300 students in the form of joint training at university level.

The school’s enrollment is nationwide. The school has attracted students not only in Hai Duong but also in other provinces such as Quang Tri, Lai Chau, Son La, Thanh Hoa… The school arranges dormitory accommodation for students if needed.

Immediately after the merger, the school's training program was strongly innovated towards a vocational competency approach. Students were able to participate in practical experiences and become familiar with the profession right from the first weeks of school.

Hai Duong University has built an advanced, updated training program, increased practice time, application, creativity, autonomy... aiming to train students to develop comprehensively in knowledge, skills, attitudes, professional practical capacity and have a sense of responsibility to society.

In 2024, the school will continue to open a number of new training majors to meet the needs of Hai Duong province and the region. At the same time, the 2024 enrollment plan will be announced soon with some adjustments that are more beneficial and proactive for learners.

Hai Duong University currently trains 21 majors, including 2 master's degree majors, 18 university degree majors, and 1 college degree major in preschool education.
