Earlier, Xinhua News Agency quoted representatives of families whose relatives were missing on the flight as saying that the trial on flight MH370 would take place on November 27. Representatives of the families confirmed that they had received notice from the Chaoyang District People's Court in Beijing about the time of the trial.

No details about the trial have been released yet. Relatives of the victims expect the trials to last until mid-December.

On the same day, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that China attaches great importance to following the developments after the missing Malaysia Airlines plane, and expressed hope that all parties maintain close communication and properly resolve the issue.

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, a Boeing 777 carrying 227 passengers (154 of whom were Chinese) and 12 crew members, took off from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on the evening of March 8, 2014. The plane lost contact with the ground about 38 minutes after takeoff.

A large-scale search and rescue operation was launched immediately after, as well as more extensive efforts in the following years, but little trace of the plane was found. To this day, it remains one of the most mysterious disappearances in the history of world aviation.
