Episode 1 of the series "MH370: The Disappeared Plane" has been removed from Netflix in Vietnam. Currently, the series only has 2 episodes left.
On the evening of April 13, Netflix removed episode 1 of the documentary MH370: The Disappeared Plane from its app store in Vietnam. The displayed information said "This episode has been removed at the request of the management agency".
Currently, MH370: The Disappeared Plane has only two episodes left, The Hijack and The Intercept.
On April 12, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information sent a document requesting Netflix to remove content that violates Vietnamese law in the documentary MH370: The Disappeared Plane.

On April 6, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested the producers to remove and correct false information about Vietnam in this documentary.
"Immediately after the incident of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 going missing, Vietnamese authorities promptly and proactively developed response plans, actively shared information, coordinated with Malaysia as well as other countries wishing to carry out large-scale search and rescue, and supported foreign reporters to participate in reporting," Ms. Pham Thu Hang told the press at a regular press conference.
"Vietnam's efforts have been recognized by the international community and domestic and foreign press. Up to now, authorities have not yet reached a conclusion about the disappearance of MH370," she added.
The spokesman affirmed that the documentary MH370: The Disappearing Plane's statements without an official conclusion were "untrue, baseless, and did not reflect the efforts of Vietnamese authorities" and caused public outrage in the country.

In October 2022, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information requested Netflix to remove the series Little Women from its app store in Vietnam. The film, directed by Kim Hee Won, repeatedly mentioned Vietnamese history with false and distorted content.
Previously, the films Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Madam Secretary and Pine Gap were all removed in Vietnam due to the appearance of images of maps with illegal cow tongue shapes in the East Sea.
