The Government submitted to the President a plan to present gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day with a total cost of nearly 420 billion VND.
In Document No. 3625, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha authorized the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to submit to the President the matter of giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).
According to the plan submitted by the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions, the recipients and gift levels remain the same as in 2023.
Nationwide, there are currently over 1.3 million meritorious people eligible for gifts at two levels: 600,000 VND and 300,000 VND, with a total budget of 419,646 billion VND. This budget has been allocated in the State Budget plan for 2024.
Specifically, the gift level of 600,000 VND/person is given to people with revolutionary contributions who are Vietnamese Heroic Mothers receiving monthly preferential allowances and individuals who have had a decision to confer the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother before July 28, 2024, but have not completed the procedures to receive monthly preferential allowances.
This gift level is also given to war invalids, people who enjoy policies such as war invalids, type B war invalids, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly survivor allowance; relatives of two or more martyrs who are receiving monthly survivor allowance will also receive a gift of 600,000 VND.
Gift level of 300,000 VND/person given to people with revolutionary contributions who are war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; war invalids who are receiving labor loss allowances; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Representatives of martyrs' relatives and martyr worshipers (in case the martyrs have no relatives) will receive a gift of 300,000 VND.
