On the morning of August 18, the Hai Duong Province Association for Promotion of Education summarized 10 years of implementing the Nguyen Dinh Be Scholarship Fund and awarded the 500th scholarship.
The Nguyen Dinh Be Scholarship Fund was founded in 2014 by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Bin, former Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam. Mr. Bin is the son of heroic martyr Nguyen Dinh Be, a member of the Nguyen Dinh family in Thuong Vu commune (Kim Thanh).
Since 2020, the Nguyen Dinh Be Scholarship Fund has been assigned to the Hai Duong Provincial Association for Promotion of Education for management and operation. Currently, the fund maintains 570 million VND in bank deposits, and annually deducts the interest to create scholarships for promotion of education in 10 grassroots units of Kim Thanh district and Hai Duong city.
After 10 years of implementation, Nguyen Dinh Be Scholarship Fund has awarded 500 scholarships to students in Kim Thanh district and Hai Duong city with a total amount of 250 million VND. These are two localities that have been closely associated with the hero and family of martyr Nguyen Dinh Be.
On this occasion, the Hai Duong Province Association for Promotion of Education and representatives of the Nguyen Dinh Be Scholarship Fund awarded 5 scholarships to students in Tan Binh Ward (Hai Duong City).
Over the past 10 years, the Nguyen Dinh Be Scholarship Fund has been implemented effectively, promptly and strongly spread the movement of encouraging learning and talent in the province.
