Tran Thanh brings 2 hundred billion dong movies to compete at Hanoi International Film Festival 2024

The 2024 Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) has just announced the latest information. Accordingly, this year's festival has the theme "Heritage in Motion - Cinema: Creativity - Take Off", expressed through unique art programs honoring the thousand-year heritage of the Capital.

HANIFF 2024 is expected to have more than 300 delegates representing different fields of cinema and about 500 cinematographic works introduced to the capital's audience.

These works are brought from 40 countries and territories with developed cinema industries in Europe, Asia and America...

Of these, 115 films will compete, including 64 foreign films and 51 Vietnamese films. Tran Thanh also brought 2 works to participate, "Mai" and "Nha Ba Nu"..These are two successful films with sales of hundreds of billions of dong.

Some other famous works also participated in the Film Festival such as "Gap lai chi bau"; "Dao, pho va piano"; "Hong Ha nu sy"; "Truoi gio 'yeu'"…There will be a series of films shown to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and a series of films focusing on German cinema.

According to the organizers, 2024 is the first year that HANIFF has its own theme song. This is considered part of the activity to position the difference, affirming its position as the oldest film festival in Vietnam, aiming to make HANIFF a prestigious international film festival on par with major film festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Tokyo, Shanghai or Busan...

The red carpet opening performance with the theme "Identity Marks" was elaborately invested with indigenous art performances and folk music, expressing the characteristics and honoring the heritage of Hanoi.

The closing ceremony will feature a drone light show with 500 drones depicting Hanoi's unique cultural heritages and prominent symbols of the new era.

Along with that are images honoring Hanoi cinema, Vietnamese cinema with the message that cinema has become a part of cultural heritage; with its own language, with many perspectives, cinema has contributed to preserving the beauty of the land and people of Hanoi, bringing to life the "picture" of the thousand-year-old capital.

HANIFF 2024 will take place from November 7 to 11. During this time, there will be activities such as project market discussions, outdoor film screenings, film screenings for journalists, photo exhibitions, visits to historical sites of the capital...

The opening ceremony and red carpet event will be held at Ho Guom Theater on the evening of November 7 and will be broadcast live on VTV and HTV.
