From the beginning of the year to October 10, Hai Duong City Tax Department has managed and collected taxes from 13 more e-commerce business households.
With just these 13 households, revenue has generated nearly 46.9 billion VND, collecting over 1.06 billion VND in taxes arising from 2021 to present.
In 2022, Hai Duong City Tax Department also managed 34 e-commerce business households, but the revenue generated was only over 45.5 billion VND and the tax arrears generated in the 5 years from 2018 to 2022 were over 713 million VND.
The above results are due to the inspection of organizations and individuals operating in the field of e-commerce by the tax sector being connected nationwide.
However, collecting e-commerce tax is still difficult because some individuals and business organizations do not have a fixed business address. People doing business through social networks and e-commerce platforms have not voluntarily registered their business and declared and paid taxes. Revenue management is also difficult when buyers do not request invoices.
