Hai Duong City organizes the first open badminton tournament for youth, teenagers and children

Hai Duong City Center for Culture, Information and Communication organized the first Hai Duong City Open Badminton Tournament for youth, teenagers and children in 2024.

The teams are divided into 5 age groups to compete in 3 events.

On December 8, the Hai Duong City Center for Culture, Information and Communication held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Hai Duong City Open Badminton Tournament for Youth, Teenagers and Children. This is the first time this tournament has been held in Hai Duong City.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded 9 first prizes, 18 second prizes and 27 third prizes to groups of athletes in the competition categories.

*The tournament had 250 athletes from 14 delegations.*

9 first prizes include: Athlete Luong Minh Hieu (Teacher and Student Club 360) won the men's singles in age group 1; Vu Quang Anh and Vu Tran Phong (Manh Tuoi Club) won the men's doubles in age group 1; Nguyen Xuan Vuong and Nguyen Minh Bao (Quang Vu Club) won the men's doubles in age group 2; Pham Trieu Duong and Pham Ngoc Diep (Thanh Dong Club) won the mixed doubles in age group 3; Nguyen Tien Dung and Dinh Bao Anh (Thanh Dong Club) won the mixed doubles in age group 4; Pham Hoang Duong and Nguyen Viet Duong (Teacher and Student Club 360) won the men's doubles in age group 5; Pham Hoang Duong and Pham Xuan Uyen (Teacher and Student Club 360) won the mixed doubles in age group 5; Vu Tung Lam and Pham Thai Duong (Teacher and Student Club 360) won the men's doubles in age group 3; Pham Van Son Tung and Nguyen Tien Dung (Thanh Dong Club) won the men's doubles in age group 4.

The 2024 Hai Duong City Open Badminton Tournament for Youth, Teenagers and Children has 250 athletes from 14 delegations from clubs in Hai Duong City and several districts in the province.

Athletes are divided into 5 age groups: 9 years old and under, 10-11 years old, 12-13 years old, 14-15 years old and 16-18 years old. The age groups compete in 3 events: Men's singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles.

On this occasion, Hai Duong City Center for Culture, Sports and Communication launched Hai Duong City 360 Badminton Club with 20 members of different ages.

The tournament aims to promote badminton training among all ages; discover and select outstanding young athletes to add to gifted classes and the city's team.
