Hai Duong City spends more than 2 billion VND to give Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and support people in difficult circumstances.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Hai Duong City spent more than 2 billion VND to give Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries and subsidize people in difficult circumstances in the city.

The above amount is taken from the non-autonomous budget allocated by the city budget for social security, the 2025 budget is assigned to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and other legal socialized sources.

City leaders will visit and present 125 Tet gifts with a total value of 154.7 million VND to meritorious people and exemplary policy families.

The city subsidized all 1,038 near-poor households in the city during Tet with a total amount of 519 million VND; gave 125 gifts with a total value of 62.5 million VND to children in especially difficult circumstances such as orphans who lost their source of support and did not receive monthly allowances, disabled children, children from poor households, and disadvantaged households...

Hai Duong City also presented 2,540 Tet gifts to social protection beneficiaries receiving monthly allowances, including people with severe and extremely severe disabilities; orphans, people with HIV; single parents with young children...

Along with the above subjects, Hai Duong City will also provide emergency subsidies to households facing difficulties during the year and not having the means to prepare for Tet. These subjects will be reviewed and recommended by the People's Committees of wards and communes...

By January 18, Hai Duong City had organized many delegations to visit and give Tet gifts to the above subjects.
