The White House has just announced that US President Joe Biden tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus while campaigning in Las Vegas on July 17 and is currently experiencing mild symptoms.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed President Biden's medical test results after the president of UnidosUS, a Latino civil rights organization, said the White House boss would not be able to speak at a previously scheduled event.
Ms. Jean-Pierre said Mr. Biden had been vaccinated, had a boost in immunity and was experiencing mild symptoms.
Earlier in the day, US President Joe Biden said he might reassess his election efforts if a “medical issue” arose.
