Hai Duong's import-export credit grows more than 33%

According to data compiled by the State Bank of Vietnam, Hai Duong province branch, by the end of May 2024, bank credit serving import and export grew by more than 33%.

Credit for import and export has the highest absolute number since the beginning of the year, contributing to promoting general import and export activities in the whole province.

By the end of May 2024, the total outstanding credit balance of the entire banking sector in the province reached VND 136,482 billion, an increase of 1.9% compared to the end of 2023, an increase of 1.4% compared to the end of April 2024.
Of which, short-term debt increased by 2.8% compared to the end of 2023, up 1.3% compared to the end of April. This is a positive signal showing that people and businesses continue to increase bank loans to supplement working capital to develop production and business.

In particular, bank credit serving import-export activities at the end of May 2024 reached VND 8,242 billion, accounting for 6.04% of total outstanding loans, up 33.4% compared to the end of 2023, up 1.3% compared to the end of April 2024. Compared to the first 5 months of 2023, bank credit serving import-export activities increased by VND 4,324 billion, equivalent to an increase of 110.4%..This is also the time when the outstanding export-import credit balance in the province is the highest since the beginning of the year, contributing to promoting the province's import-export activities.

At the same time at the end of May, the total mobilized capital of the entire banking industry reached VND 199,857 billion, up 2.2% compared to the end of 2023, up 1.2% compared to the end of April 2024.
