Dr. Le Doan Hop talks about reading in the digital age at Hai Duong Library

Dr. Le Doan Hop, former Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of the Vietnam Record Council, discusses the role of books in the digital age.

On the afternoon of April 21, at Hai Duong Provincial Library, Dr. Le Doan Hop, former Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of the Vietnam Record Setting Council, discussed with officials, students and book lovers of Hai Duong on the topic: "Reading books in the digital age - Using social networks safely and effectively".

“Books are a treasure trove of knowledge, a stream of human civilization. Reading culture helps to honor and improve people. People with reading culture are people with intelligence and culture in behavior…”, Dr. Le Doan Hop affirmed when discussing with students and delegates about the meaning of books in life. According to the doctor, reading books is very important, especially for young people today.

Reading books in the digital age, although there are many changes, e-books are very developed, but printed books still have an irreplaceable role and meaning. Dr. Le Doan Hop advised students that each good book often contains a message of the times. Books bring knowledge, lessons, useful advice in work, communication, behavior as well as many other fields. Successful and talented people are all avid readers and thanks to that, they have a broad understanding of life and the world around them.

Dr. Le Doan Hop also shared 5 ways to read books in the digital age and emphasized that the important thing is that readers have passion and know how to choose the right books to receive the best knowledge. Using social networks, especially reading online newspapers and books online is very good but you need to be alert and know how to select information.
