Hai Duong Newspaper reporters contacted the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway management unit to learn about the suspicion that nails were spread on the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway.
On the afternoon of October 1, a representative of the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Management and Operation One Member Co., Ltd. informed that immediately after receiving feedback on a social networking forum and the press about the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway being studded with nails, the unit coordinated with the traffic police force of the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) to inspect the route, especially the locations that were reported, but did not detect any signs of studding. The unit has increased cleaning of the entire road surface, especially the locations in Hai Duong province.
Previously, the unit had received many reports about suspected nail scattering leading to punctured tires on the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway. The unit sent forces and specialized vehicles to check for nails and inspect. Through sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning the road surface, the main foreign objects found were objects thrown from tire explosions and car parts that fell out during the move. No nails were found scattered on the highway.
The appearance of many emergency phone numbers and tire repair signs written on the guardrails has made many people suspect that there are nails scattered on the highway. The company has sent people to remove and erase the illegal advertisements, but this situation has reappeared. The unit regularly coordinates with the Criminal Police Department, Hai Duong Provincial Police to investigate people's complaints and will strictly handle any violations.
