According to Western sources, on June 7, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was attacked by a man in the center of the capital Copenhagen.
The attacker was arrested shortly afterwards.

Danish police confirmed the attack but have not yet released the perpetrator's identity or motive.
Upon hearing of the incident, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom immediately condemned the attack on Ms. Frederiksen.
