Weather forecast for Hai Duong from April 2-4: Some places will be hot and sunny, with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 34-36 degrees Celsius.

Hai Duong Province Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that from April 2-3, Hai Duong will have sunny weather, some places will be hot, with the highest temperature commonly being 34-36 degrees Celsius. The high temperature will last from 12-15 hours during the day. The heat combined with the still quite high humidity in the air (60-70%) will cause a feeling of heat. This heat wave is likely to last until April 4.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, Deputy Director of the Hai Duong Province Hydrometeorological Station, said that this is the first heat wave of 2024, occurring quite early compared to the average of many years (around mid-May). In the series of monitoring data from 1990 to the present, very few heat waves have occurred in April and no heat wave has occurred in the first week of April like this year. The cause of this heat wave is due to the hot low pressure area in the India-Myanmar region being active and encroaching eastward, covering the entire northern and central regions of Vietnam, reaching all the way to southeastern China.

It is forecasted that in April, Hai Duong province will experience 1-2 widespread heat waves; 2-3 thunderstorms with whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts of wind. The cold air at the end of the season will mainly cause showers and thunderstorms.

According to the assessment of the provincial Hydrometeorological Station, the average monthly temperature in this summer is forecast to be 1-2.5 degrees Celsius higher than the average of many years. Heat waves and severe heat waves are concentrated from May to August, peaking in June and July. The number of heat waves is higher than the average of many years and the intensity is also more severe.

Total rainfall in April and May is lower than the average of many years, in June, July and August it is approximately the average of many years, in September and October it is higher than the average of many years. Heavy rain is concentrated from July to September.

This summer, it is forecasted that there will be about 1-2 storms and tropical depressions affecting Hai Duong, concentrated in August and September.

Water resources in rivers and reservoirs in the province are at a deficit compared to the average of many years.
