On the afternoon of November 26, in Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen province, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation held a mass wedding ceremony for 17 couples who are union members and workers in the province.
Attending the wedding ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, representatives of provincial departments and branches, and many families, relatives and friends of the couples.
This year is the fourth time the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation has organized a mass wedding ceremony for union members and workers, with a total of 77 couples. In a cozy atmosphere, the couples conducted wedding ceremonies in the happiness of relatives, family and friends with rituals such as exchanging wedding rings, cutting the cake and drinking wine. All expenses for the wedding party such as makeup, costumes and wedding photography were sponsored by agencies, units and businesses.
On this occasion, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation presented each couple with a tael of gold; local agencies, units and businesses also presented many meaningful and practical gifts to the couples.
Ms. Hoang Thu Hang, Vice President of Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation, said that the program has contributed to bringing more complete happiness to couples, giving them more motivation to rise up in life, especially for workers in difficult circumstances, far from home, not having enough conditions to organize a complete wedding for themselves. This activity also contributes to spreading the implementation of civilized lifestyle in weddings and festivals; demonstrating the role of local Trade Union organizations in caring for the material and spiritual life of workers.
Previously, 17 couples came to offer incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs and visited the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups in Thai Nguyen city.
