The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is responsible for directing airports in the affected areas of storm No. 4 such as Dong Hoi, Da Nang, Phu Bai, Chu Lai, Vinh to inspect port infrastructure, communications... to promptly detect and handle any damage, if any, to ensure the safety of the works. Units are required to be on duty 24/24h, proactively update meteorological information to propose safe exploitation plans.
Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) will regularly update meteorological bulletins to decide on operations at airports.
Airlines must adjust flight schedules at Dong Hoi airport and notify passengers. Flight crews must replenish fuel reserves for flights to airports in the storm-affected area in case they have to wait and divert to alternate airports.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam directed the Northern and Central Airports Authorities to inspect and supervise the storm prevention and control work of units operating at the airport.
On the morning of September 19, the tropical depression strengthened into storm No. 4, affecting operations at airports in the Northern and Central regions.
