On the morning of June 26, Hospital 199 Da Nang announced that it had just received 7 cases of suspected food poisoning, including two children.
According to a representative of Hospital 199 Da Nang, the patients admitted to the emergency room showed signs of food poisoning such as vomiting and abdominal pain.
The patients said these symptoms appeared on the evening of June 25, after a meal. It was not until the morning of June 26, when the symptoms did not subside, that they went to the hospital.
According to the initial assessment of doctors at Hospital 199 Da Nang, the cause of the above symptoms is due to exposure to unsafe food.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Hai, Head of the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City, said that the unit had just received this information from Hospital 199 Da Nang and had sent forces to inspect.
According to initial information, the patients are tourists from Hanoi who had eaten some street food in Son Tra district (specific address unknown).
