After Tet, students bring toxic toys to class

After Tet, my child's teacher continuously sent messages to the class group warning students about using lucky money to buy guns and expanding plastic beads, which are dangerous and toxic toys to bring to class and play with, endangering other students.

On the morning of February 6 alone, the teacher collected about 1 bottle of plastic expanding beads from students, and some students even playfully put the beads in their friends' ears.

Many years ago, some students of Quang Phong Secondary School (Thanh Hoa) had to be hospitalized due to poisoning from expanding plastic beads. This is a foreign-made, cheap toy that many children like.

The leaders of the National Children's Hospital once warned about the harmful effects of expanding plastic beads: These small beads can easily get into children's noses and throats. When exposed to water, they expand and can block the child's airways and digestive tract, causing death.

Parents should manage children's lucky money after Tet to avoid children spending money wastefully, especially buying toxic toys that can be dangerous.
