The animated film "Wish" (Vietnamese title "Wish") was chosen as the film to celebrate and pay tribute to Disney's 100-year journey, and will be released in Vietnamese theaters from November 24.
"Wish" is set in Rosas, a magical kingdom of wishes located off the coast of the Iberian Peninsula. The ruler of this land, King Magnifico, claims to make all the wishes of his people come true, if only they would grant him their wish.
The idea for "Wish" came about in 2018 when Jennifer Lee was appointed as Disney's Chief Creative Officer. The team reviewed Disney's work and realized that throughout its 100-year history, dreams have been a key element in the company's films. For example, Geppetto looks up at the stars and wishes for Pinocchio to be a real boy; Tiana looks up at the sky and wishes for her own restaurant; Moana wishes for a journey to the ocean...
Many Disney characters are defined by their dreams, and "Wish" is a celebration of that dream.
