The 15th National Assembly held an extraordinary meeting to discuss personnel and apparatus work.

On the morning of February 12, the 9th extraordinary session of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will officially open in the form of a concentrated meeting at the National Assembly House, Hanoi.

According to the program this morning, after the opening speech of the National Assembly Chairman, the Government representative will present a report on the Supplementary Project on socio-economic development in 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more; then the Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee will present a report on the project's verification.

Next, the representative of the Drafting Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee presented a report on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly; the Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee presented a report on the review of the draft law.

Immediately afterwards, the Minister of Justice, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented a report on the draft Law on Promulgation of Legal Normative Documents (amended). The Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee presented a report on the review of the draft law.

Also on the morning of February 12, the National Assembly will discuss in groups the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly; the draft Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents (amended)...

According to a press release from the Office of the National Assembly, at the 9th Extraordinary Session, the National Assembly will consider and pass: Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly; Law on Organization of the Government (amended); Law on Organization of Local Government (amended); Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents (amended).

The National Assembly also considers and approves resolutions, including: Resolution of the National Assembly regulating the handling of a number of issues related to the arrangement of the state apparatus; Resolution of the National Assembly on the organization of the National Assembly agencies (in case the Law on the Organization of the National Assembly is decided to be amended by the National Assembly in the direction of not specifically stipulating the names of the specialized agencies of the National Assembly as in the current law); Resolution of the National Assembly on the number of members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly (amended); Resolution of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term (amended); Resolution of the National Assembly on the structure of the number of members of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term (amended); consider and decide on personnel work within its authority.

Also at this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on supplementing the 2025 socio-economic development plan with a growth target of 8% or more; Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of policies to remove obstacles in science, technology and innovation activities; Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific and special mechanisms and policies to develop the urban railway network system in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; investment policy for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Construction Investment Project; specific mechanisms and policies for investment in the construction of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project...

The 9th extraordinary session is scheduled to close on Wednesday (February 19, 2025).
