Phuong Thanh invited Siu Black to join the live concert

At the program introduction to the press in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of April 9, the singer said he would sing a duet with Siu Black. "Alone on the sofa" (Tang Duy Tan). At the event, Siu Black emotionally said: "As long as Phuong Thanh asks, I will agree and always give my all."

The singers shared many words of encouragement and expressed their love for each other after many years together, as well as experiencing ups and downs in life. There was a period when the two were angry with each other for several years due to misunderstandings, then they reconciled when they were both judges of the Rock Viet contest in 2021.

"After 17 years since the Rain show at Military Zone 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, I have the determination to do a show again. The live concert marks a new milestone for me after many changes in my career and life," said Phuong Thanh.

In addition to Siu Black, the guest singers include: Bang Kieu, Dan Truong, Ha Le, Lan Nha, MONO, all of whom are names that rarely sing with Phuong Thanh. In response to questions about these combinations, the singer said: "Everyone is so familiar with my music that it's easy to guess how I will sing every time I do a show. This time, I invited the Gen Z generation alongside my contemporaries to create diversity because I'm afraid of repeating the old things," she said. The live concert Doa Hong Gai has nearly 30 performances with Nguyen Huu Vuong as music director.

Phuong Thanh, 51 years old, became famous in the mid-1990s through the program Lan Song Xanh. She specializes in pop-rock music with a husky voice, associated with many hits such as Khi giac mo ve (Duc Tri), Gia tu di quang (Nguyen Duc Trung), Trong vanh (Quoc Hung). She is also a judge in many competitions and game shows, and has entered the film industry with the films De ma hu, Khi dan ong co be bau, Nu hon than chet, and Hot boy noi re. The singer is a single mother, with a 19-year-old daughter.
