Korean tourists' interest in tourist destinations in Vietnam is increasing.
Announcing the survey results on July 15, the website Rankify Korea said that Vietnam has 2 locations in the top 3 most favorite international tourist destinations in Korea.
Rankify Korea used a big data analysis program to aggregate the search volume of Google Trend Index and Naver in the first week of July and compared it with the last week of June. The first place belongs to Phu Quoc, followed by Nha Trang - also in Vietnam, and the third is Tokyo (Japan).
In the first week of July, Phu Quoc reached 12,855 points, up 2,962 points compared to the last week of June, excellently winning the top position. Second place was Nha Trang, with 10,157 points. Third place was Tokyo with 3,796 points, up 461 points compared to the previous week.
Other cities in the top 15 are Bangkok (Thailand) - 4th, Phuket (Thailand) - 5th, followed by Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Nagoya (Japan), Barcelona (Spain), Kyoto (Japan) and Hanoi (Vietnam) in 10th place.
The next rankings belong to Paris (France), New York (USA), Sydney (Australia), Shanghai (China) and Munich (Germany) at 15th place.
In addition, the survey also shows the results of the analysis of preferences by gender and age for each of these cities. Specifically, Phu Quoc is more favored by female Korean tourists, accounting for 67% of the survey data, and the group of tourists choosing Phu Quoc the most are those aged 30-39, followed by those aged 40-49.
For the second place, Nha Trang city, the percentage of female and male customers who like Nha Trang is 64% and 36% respectively. The age group that likes Nha Trang the most (with 35%) is 30-39 years old; the age group of 20-29 has the second highest level of liking (with 26%).
