Phu Quoc temporarily suspends processing of travel abroad for leaders at all levels

Secretary of Phu Quoc City Party Committee in Kien Giang province Le Quoc Anh has just signed and issued an Official Dispatch on temporarily suspending the processing of overseas travel for officials and party members who are leaders at all levels.

The subjects implementing this document are members; leaders of agencies, departments, branches, and organizations of the city; secretaries and deputy secretaries of branches and party committees under the City Party Committee; leaders of the People's Committees at the commune level (excluding those assigned to participate in working delegations organized by the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Kien Giang province).

The temporary suspension of the handling of cadres and party members who are leaders at all levels going abroad is based on the implementation of the tasks of the City Party Committee in order to strengthen leadership and direction in solving key tasks of the city and commune levels from now until the end of 2024, especially solving some urgent tasks such as land management, construction, environment, minerals, security and order; at the same time, focusing on leadership and direction to overcome shortcomings and limitations according to the conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to ensure the progress of the set plan...

According to statistics, up to now, the Special Task Force of Kien Giang province has inspected and detected 1,744 violations related to land (state-managed and forest land), with an area of ​​about 685 hectares. Of which, Phu Quoc City authorities have handled 1,020 administrative cases, 15 criminal cases, with 23 subjects; recovered more than 85 hectares of state-managed land, more than 11 hectares of protective forest land and more than 100 hectares of special-use forest land.

Regarding the subdivision and separation of plots of land that have not been approved by competent authorities for project investment policies and have not been granted permits for infrastructure construction, statistics show that Phu Quoc City currently has about 420 areas with nearly 195 hectares divided into more than 8,700 plots of land.

Recently, the Investigation Police Agency, Phu Quoc City Police transferred the case file of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" in the land sector, related to LHD Investment and Development Consulting Company Limited to the Investigation Police Agency, Kien Giang Provincial Police to continue investigating according to regulations.

From this case, the Investigation Police Agency has temporarily detained many subjects, including two Chairmen of the People's Committee of the commune and three Phu Quoc forest management officers who surrendered because they were involved in the above case.
