Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban is the Head of the Railway Project through Hai Duong.

The Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has just decided to establish a Working Group to coordinate the implementation of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh Railway Construction Investment Project through the province, headed by Mr. Luu Van Ban, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The working group also includes representatives of the departments and branches: Construction, Transport, Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment... and the districts where the route passes through: Binh Giang, Cam Giang, Gia Loc, Tu Ky and Thanh Ha.

The Working Group is responsible for coordinating with specialized agencies of the Ministry of Transport to organize the implementation of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Construction Investment Project through the province to ensure quality and progress as required. The tasks of each member of the Working Group are carried out according to the functions and tasks of each agency and unit.

According to the planning that the Railway Department has just proposed for approval, the route starts at Lao Cai station, passing through the provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh.

The route passing through Hai Duong has a total length of nearly 41 km.
