The Hanoi City interdisciplinary inspection team discovered a series of food safety violations at the famous Nguyen Ninh green rice cake production facility.
The Hanoi City Food Safety Interdisciplinary Inspection Team No. 1 has just inspected the Tet food safety work at the Nguyen Ninh traditional green rice cake production facility (address 11 Hang Than, Ba Dinh District) on the afternoon of January 2 and discovered a series of food safety violations.
Specifically, the production area of the facility is used in the family kitchen, without separate zones, arranged in a messy and seriously degraded manner. The floor in the kitchen area is peeling, moldy, the drains are open, and there is garbage stagnation...
Clothes are dried and washed right in the production area. Processing and preparation tools used in production are dirty due to lack of regular cleaning.
In particular, the toilet is located right in the preparation and processing area. Insects and animal feces were also found in the production area.
The cramped facility has no storage space. The sacks of dry rice ingredients are stacked right at the entrance to the kitchen, near the moldy wall area...
In addition, the facility has not yet presented health certificates and confirmation of food safety training for the facility owner and 5 employees.
The facility has also not been able to present documents proving the origin of all raw materials, food additives, and packaging that directly contact food.
The inspection team also discovered that the label of the green rice cake product was not consistent with the product declaration and product labeling regulations.
From the above violations, inspection team No. 1 requested the facility to temporarily suspend operations to immediately correct the shortcomings and take samples of two types of cakes, including green rice cakes and xu xe cakes, to conduct quality standard testing.
