The contest aims to introduce, honor, and spread the beauty and historical significance of President Ho Chi Minh's simple and familiar daily life at the Relic Site to compatriots at home and international friends.
On January 19, the launching ceremony of the photo contest "The beauty of the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Relic Site at the Presidential Palace" in 2024 was held.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, said that 2024 marks a series of important activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the entire Party, people and army implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace; the 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho's living and working at the Presidential Palace. The Relic Site organizes a photo contest with the theme: "The beauty of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace" in 2024.
This event aims to introduce, honor and spread the beauty and historical significance of President Ho Chi Minh's simple and close daily life at the Relic Site to domestic compatriots and international friends.
Ms. Le Thi Phuong shared that this is also an opportunity for artists to express their talent, creativity and love for Uncle Ho through works depicting the beauty of the place where he lived and worked during the last 15 years of his life (1954-1969).
Thereby contributing to strengthening propaganda, promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and spreading the timeless ideological, moral and style values of the Vietnamese national liberation hero, outstanding cultural figure - making an important contribution to preserving and promoting cultural values, building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
According to the rules, the photo composition contest with the theme: "The beauty of President Ho Chi Minh's relic site at the Presidential Palace" is open to individuals, professional and non-professional photographers, Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and over.
Photographs created between January 1, 2023 and July 5, 2024.
The photos in the contest reflect the political, historical, cultural, educational values, the simple and close daily life of Uncle Ho; show the beauty of natural landscapes, fresh and green environment with gardens, fish ponds, architectural works of relics, space to display documents and artifacts associated with Uncle Ho during his lifetime.
Demonstrating activities serving political tasks and foreign affairs to spread Ho Chi Minh's ideology, example, morality and style; images of domestic compatriots and international visitors coming to visit, study, research and experience at the Relic Site.
Showing moments and images of the daily silent work of those working at "Uncle Ho's agency" through professional activities; activities of welcoming and serving visitors; taking care of gardens and fish ponds; preserving relics, artifacts, documents... to preserve and promote the value of Uncle Ho's heritage...
Contest photos must be color or black and white, not collaged. Each author can submit a maximum of 10 works, including single photos and photo series, with specific captions.
The Organizing Committee encourages photo collections to have captions in Vietnamese and English (short, concise content) introducing the content of the photo collection.
Contest photos are photos that have not been displayed or won awards at any national photo contests and exhibitions organized or co-organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
Contest photos must be in digital file format, JPG, 3-5Mb in size, 300dpi in resolution. Authors are responsible for the copyright of their work.

Contestants send photos to the address: President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, No. 1, Hoang Hoa Tham (Red Gate), Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
The Organizing Committee plans to award 2 First Prizes (single photo, photo series), each worth 15 million VND. 2 Second Prizes, each worth 10 million VND. 6 Third Prizes, each worth 5 million VND. 10 Encouragement Prizes (each worth 3 million VND). The award ceremony and exhibition are expected to take place in August 2024.
