On February 13, an explosion occurred at the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi shopping mall in Taichung, Taiwan (China), killing one person and sending 10 others to the hospital.
According to Taiwan's fire department, the explosion occurred in the food court on the 12th floor of the shopping mall.
Of the 10 people hospitalized, four showed no signs of life, so the death toll could rise.
The explosion partially damaged the building, sending debris flying into the street.
Dozens of firefighters were deployed to the scene. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
