Ukraine's external debt rose 42.3% to $101.7 billion, while domestic borrowings rose 13.3% to about $43.6 billion.
Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported on January 30 that Ukraine's total domestic and foreign debt in 2023 will reach a record high of 145.32 billion USD.
According to a report by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, in 2023, Ukraine's public debt will increase by 30.4%, equivalent to 33.9 billion USD.
Ukraine's external debt increased by 42.3% to $101.7 billion, while domestic borrowing increased by 13.3% to 1,656 billion hryvnia (about $43.6 billion).
In 2022, Ukraine's total public debt will increase by 13.7% to $111.45 billion.
Ukraine received $42.6 billion in loans and grants in 2023. The Ukrainian Finance Ministry estimates that the country will need more than $37 billion in external funding this year.
