Green bean cake

Therefore, green bean cake has become an indispensable cake in the minds of many Hai Duong people whenever they have guests from near and far. Especially, on Tet holiday, green bean cake with yellow color, red box symbolizes sweetness, luck is often an indispensable gift to give or display on the altar on Tet holiday.

To meet the needs of "customers", during Tet, green bean cake manufacturers often launch gift boxes with the image of the zodiac animal of the year, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms...

Ninh Giang sticky rice cake

To make gai cake, people use gai leaves that look like mulberry leaves, dry them in the sun for 2-3 days, carefully process them and grind them into a smooth, spongy powder.

The rice used to make the cake must be golden sticky rice, the honey must be very sweet, heated to make it easier to mix. The rice flour and leaf flour are mixed thoroughly with pre-boiled sugar water to create a smooth, supple dough. The filling of the cake is made from steamed green beans, old coconut meat, and cooked pork fat marinated in sugar for many days. Pumpkin jam and lotus jam are mixed with all the above ingredients for 1 hour.

To be suitable for burning incense and giving as gifts during Tet, nowadays in addition to black sticky rice cake, there is also red sticky rice cake symbolizing luck.

Kinh Mon cake

This type of cake is considered a traditional specialty of Kinh Mon people every time Tet comes and spring comes.

Banh long is made from the main ingredients: yellow sticky rice, sugar, peanuts, sesame, coconut jam. The yellow sticky rice is popped into popcorn and then pounded (or ground) into small, smooth pieces. The white sugar is condensed into molasses, the more thoroughly the sugar is condensed, the firmer, more fragrant and longer the cake will be. Roast the peanuts, remove the shell, roast the sesame seeds, pound the ginger to get the juice, and make the coconut jam. Put everything into the sugar pot and stir quickly and evenly until the cake is soft and the surface is set, then pour it into a wooden mold to press.

Many people think that banh long is similar to banh cay or che lam. But when enjoying it, they can feel the unique delicious taste of the cake: the fragrant, fatty smell of Kinh Mon specialty sticky rice, peanuts, sesame, the spicy taste of ginger and the moderate sweetness of sugar and jam.

The ingredients to make a gac cake include rice, gac fruit, peanuts, sesame, coconut, and sugar. The rice is soaked for 1-2 hours and then ground. The gac "rice" is selected from ripe gac fruits with seeds removed, then mixed with ground rice and sugar in a certain ratio. After the mixture is mixed well, it is put on the stove to be coated by hand. After that, the cake is put on the stove to bake.

A qualified rice paper cake is red, crispy, and has the aroma of sesame, peanuts, and coconut. Ke Sat rice paper cake is also a suitable gift to eat and give as a gift during Tet.
