Boiled chicken dish priced at 1.6 million VND causes controversy

Recently, a restaurant in Shanghai attracted attention from the online community when it sold a plate of boiled chicken, about half a chicken, for up to 480 Yuan (more than 1.6 million VND).

The staff replied that the chickens were raised in a very special way, which was to drink milk and listen to classical music. They also revealed that this breed of chicken was called "sunflower" chicken, raised on a farm in Guangdong province.

The chicken breed is loved for its delicious taste, soft meat, and characteristic golden color. The price for a whole sunflower chicken at restaurants can be up to more than 1,000 yuan (3.5 million VND), double the price of a regular chicken, the paperSCMPreported on March 24.
