A total of 50 domestic and international flights operated by Indian airlines were subjected to bomb threats from the night of October 21 to the evening of October 22.

IndiGo, one of India's major airlines, said in a statement that it had received 11 more bomb threats as of the evening of October 22, following 10 threats reported on October 21.

Akasa Air also confirmed that it had received security threats and said it had followed safety procedures to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.

Also on October 22, a bomb alert was issued for a Vistara flight traveling from Delhi and landing in Kathmandu, Nepal.

A Nepalese security officer confirmed that the Nepal Army's bomb disposal team has been dispatched to the airport for a thorough check.

A day earlier, Indian Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said the ministry had ordered additional checks at airports to ensure passenger safety without causing further inconvenience.

He also said that agencies under the supervision of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs are working hard to identify those responsible for the recent bomb threats.

Chief Minister Mohan Naidu asserted that the offenders would be put on the no-fly list.

On October 22, Indian media reported that many schools run by India's Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) across the country received bomb threat emails.

Emails received on the night of October 21 caused panic in schools, with lists of nitrate-based homemade explosive devices in classrooms.

The email sent by the subject warned that all schools must be evacuated by 11am local time on October 22. However, checks showed that all warnings were fake.

Earlier on October 20, a major explosion occurred near a school in New Delhi's Prashant Vihar residential area. The school is run by the CRPF.

The explosion caused no casualties, but damaged the school's surrounding wall and a nearby car, while many windows of nearby apartments and shops were also broken.
