On May 13, at least four schools in the city of Jaipur, western India, were threatened with bombs, forcing school administrators to evacuate students and call the police.

Police quickly took action, sending bomb squads and sniffer dogs to the schools to search but no suspicious objects were found. It is likely that these threats were fake.

Previously, on May 12, Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and several hospitals in the Indian capital also received bomb threats via email.

Earlier this month, more than 100 schools in the capital region of Delhi received similar threatening letters, sparking panic. In December 20223, dozens of schools in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru also received fake bomb threats.
