Former Minister of Information and Communications Le Doan Hop talks about journalism at Hai Duong Newspaper

Dr. Le Doan Hop, former Minister of Information and Communications, discusses cultural behavior in the press environment.

With the experience of a long-time press manager, press activities, cultural research and management, and drawing from practice, former Minister Le Doan Hop concluded that Vietnamese press has 5 advantages. These are: rapid development; deep international convergence and integration; promoting social progress and development; participating in the fight against corruption and negativity quite well; and the press is being rejuvenated and intellectualized.

According to former Minister Le Doan Hop, Vietnamese press also has 3 limitations such as low professionalism; not really leading the 3 outstanding characteristics of the new era; still focusing on propaganda, providing more directive information than information about people's lives.

Former Minister Le Doan Hop shared about the advantages and difficulties of journalism in the current period; his concerns as well as those of those responsible for developing the country's press.

Former Minister Le Doan Hop is a person who deeply studies culture and has conclusions from practice. According to him, ethics and culture have a close relationship - culture is the quintessence of ethics. He evaluates family culture as the foundation of society, corporate culture as the foundation of the national economy, office culture and public ethics as the foundation of politics...
