Model Ngoc Trinh arrested

On October 19, Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh (model, actress Ngoc Trinh, 34 years old) was temporarily detained by Ho Chi Minh City Police for her behavior.Disturbing public order.

In connection with the case, Tran Xuan Dong (36 years old, Ngoc Trinh's driving instructor) was prosecuted for the crime.Using fake documents of agencies and organizations, but was released on bail.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy approved the decisions. Authorities also executed a search warrant at the defendant's home and seized many related documents.

This move was made after the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's Investigation Police Department coordinated with the Traffic Police Department, Thu Duc City Police and other professional departments to resolve information about the crime, regarding the act of "performing" on a large-displacement motorbike with dangerous actions performed by Ngoc Trinh, then posted on social networks, causing public outrage.

The investigation results determined that on October 6, Ngoc Trinh, despite not having a class A2 driver's license, drove a BMW with a cylinder capacity of 999 cm3 with Dong, performing on D15 High-Tech Park road (in Tang Nhon Phu B ward, Thu Duc city) with dangerous driving movements, offensive postures, not wearing protective gear, lying and kneeling on the saddle.

Previously, in early September, these two people also drove a "Ninja" motorbike in Thu Thiem Urban Area, performing movements such as: standing with 2 feet on one side of the motorbike, letting go of both hands to let the motorbike run by itself, sitting on one side of the saddle to run by itself...

Authorities allege that during her car shows, Ngoc Trinh filmed and posted them on social media. Specifically, she posted 5 videos on her Tit Tok account.Ngoc Trinh(6.8 million followers), received a total of more than 478,000 likes; 4,881 comments; 9,848 video saves; 5,787 shares.

Facebook accountTran Thi Ngoc Trinh(has more than 3 million followers) attracted 5,900 interactions, 438 comments, 266 submissions; Facebook Fanpage accountNGOC TRINH(with 5.9 million followers) posted a video showing Ngoc Trinh driving a large motorbike and having an accident that injured her leg, receiving 2.7 million likes...

After that, these videos went viral on the internet with more than 240 posts on Facebook, more than 650 articles on websites; more than 3,000 related videos on YouTube. Public opinion largely opposed and strongly condemned Ngoc Trinh's behavior.

According to the investigation agency, the posting and dissemination of the above content has adversely affected social order and security, negatively affecting the awareness, lifestyle and behavioral culture of young people, especially this is a social network account followed by millions of people. This behavior violated the Code of Conduct on social networks in Decision No. 874/QD-BTTTT dated June 17, 2021 of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Expanding the investigation, Ho Chi Minh City Police determined that Tran Xuan Dong, although he knew the registration certificate of the BMW with license plate 59A3-115.88 was fake, still intentionally bought it for use because he saw the motorbike was cheap.

Previously, on October 9, Ngoc Trinh was fined by the Traffic Police Department of Thu Duc City for two violations: lying on the motorbike seat, standing on one side of the vehicle, letting go of both hands... while driving; and not having a driver's license for a vehicle over 175cc according to Decree 100/2019 and Article 59 of the Road Traffic Law (total fine of 8.5 million VND).

Working with the police, Ngoc Trinh admitted that she hired someone to practice driving because she was preparing for the A2 license exam (large displacement). Since early October, she and her coach have chosen deserted roads in the Thu Thiem new urban area, Thu Thiem ward and the High-Tech Park to practice driving Ducati and BMW motorcycles. The images and videos posted on social media are not for advertising purposes.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department is temporarily holding the Ducati that Ngoc Trinh drove through the Ba Son Bridge area, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, and clarifying related violations.
