24-year-old model shot dead in front of gym

SheetNational WorldFedra Gaxiola, a social media influencer model, was shot in front of a gym in the López Lucio neighborhood of Tijuana, Mexico, local authorities said.

The attacker fired shots through the window of Gaxiola’s black Mercedes Benz and fled. Emergency crews rushed her to the hospital, but Gaxiola died. Authorities confirmed she died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Witnesses said the perpetrator fled in a gray car. Authorities immediately opened an investigation and determined that the perpetrator acted alone and intentionally targeted Fedra Gaxiola.

Fedra Gaxiola is an emerging model and influencer who shares her personal life and collaborates with a variety of sports, fashion, and beauty brands. Last November, she modeled for a clothing brand in Tijuana.

She has over 225,000 followers on TikTok and over 140,000 on Instagram.

This is not the first time Fedra Gaxiola has been targeted in a shooting. In 2011, Gaxiola survived a shooting in the Hipódromo neighborhood while in her BMW. Her boyfriend at the time did not survive.

In August 2024, she publicly announced that she was a victim of domestic violence, accusing her ex-boyfriend of assaulting her. The police are currently investigating the case.
