According to Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Head of Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 15, the North will welcome a weak cold air mass, causing the phenomenon of drizzle and humidity to temporarily end.

"The current humid weather is consistent with the annual pattern. Normally, the humidity will not completely decrease until the end of April," Mr. Huong emphasized.

Regarding the weather in the coming days, Mr. Huong said that in the second half of April, the North, North Central and Central regions will likely experience localized heat waves. Meanwhile, in the South, the Southeast region will still have many hot days.

Specifically, in the Northwest region on the night of April 14-15, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain; from April 18-22, there will be localized heat.

In the Northeast, on the night of April 14-15, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain.

From Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien - Hue, from the night of April 14-15, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; from April 18-22, the western mountainous areas will have localized heat.

In the Central Highlands and the South, from April 15 to 18, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening.

Beware of thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

Hydrometeorological experts recommend that, in the face of the above weather patterns, people need to regularly monitor forecast and warning information on the website of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting at nchmf.gov.vn, and provincial, municipal and regional Hydro-Meteorological Stations.

The government and relevant agencies need to promptly provide disaster forecast information to the people, direct disaster prevention and control work in various forms; mobilize, propagate and implement an absolute ban on people's activities in areas at high risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail, etc.

People need to strictly follow the local government's instructions on disaster response and prevention; regularly update the latest hydrometeorological forecast information on the official mass media of the Central and local levels to proactively respond.
