Na Lay Peak is a convenient place to see the whole view of Bac Son valley.

Mr. Tran Linh (28 years old, in Hanoi) has been to Bac Son many times and said that July and August are the best seasons to conquer Na Lay peak.

To reach the top of Na Lay, visitors must follow a small trail through about 1,200 stone steps. Although it has been reinforced by the locals, this climbing route still has some steep sections. Visitors should monitor the weather before the trip and can find a local guide to ensure safety.

The 28-year-old photographer said that the journey to the top takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour (depending on each person's physical strength). Although it is difficult, the reward is the ability to admire the beautiful natural scenery from above.

The microwave station on top of Na Lay attracts tourists to hunt clouds.

If you want to successfully hunt clouds, visitors should depart from the foot of the mountain early in the morning, around 3:30 to 4:00 a.m. and check the weather forecast before going, avoiding rainy and windy days.

Tourists should choose a nice day to conquer Na Lay peak.

Tran Nhat Hoang (a young person working in tourism in Bac Son) shared that people in Bac Son often grow two rice crops based on weather conditions. In which, the rice ripening season usually falls around the end of July and the end of October.

The rice fields here do not ripen at the same time because it depends on the planting time of each household. Therefore, visitors often see a landscape of yellow and green interwoven, creating a natural picture of many colors.

"Currently, the rice in Bac Son has just been planted by the people for a new crop, so it is still green. Coming here at this time, visitors can admire the beautiful green valley from above or participate in exciting outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, waterfall bathing, kayaking or learning about the local history and culture," Hoang suggested.

The weather in Bac Son is cold at night and early morning, visitors should bring warm clothes and necessary personal items.

The September 2nd holiday is also an ideal time for tourists to visit Bac Son valley, enjoy the cool, fresh air and get away from the crowded scene.

Although they cannot admire the beautiful golden rice season, visitors here can still experience cloud hunting on Na Lay peak, combined with visiting some other destinations in the area such as: The Tay people's yin-yang tile roof making village in Quynh Son; the nearly 500-year-old "immortal banyan tree"; Nong Luc communal house, Tam Canh pass... and enjoy delicious and attractive specialties.
