The US Treasury Department announced that the US has issued a new package of sanctions against Russia amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The new sanctions package targets Arctic LNG 2 and several other individuals and entities. In addition, the department also announced four general licenses related to Russia, allowing US citizens to engage in the activities described in the licenses without imposing specific sanctions.
In response on the same day, TASS news agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as affirming: "The Russian economy will adapt well to these conditions."
